Autumn weddings………..what can I say, it has to be my favourite time of the year to get married. With the early evenings drawing to close, the low light of the sun and lush colours of the leaves on trees are just beautiful. Vicky and Mike’s wedding was just that.
I loved the fact that Vicky had a black cab to drop her off at the wedding venue, so quirky and fun, and I think everyone would agree that Vicky certainly wowed all the guests and her husband to be in her low back dress from Bride to Be in Prestwich.
Following the ceremony, the weather was certainly on their side, and everyone was able to enjoy the late sun outside for drinks and even a conker throwing competition with the boys !
As many of you know, I enjoy documentary style photography and therefore I only took Vicky and Mike away for no more than 15 minutes for their portrait shots. After that, it was lots of relaxed candid photographs whilst everyone enjoyed the alfresco drinks. I also wanted to show how amazing Vicky’s pure white rose bouquet was by Flowers by Siobhan, against the autumnal leaves on the ground, just stunning.
Vicky and Mike were great from start to finish and they even braved it out in the pitch black for a stunning backlit shot which took no more than 30 seconds.
Here are my favourite images from the day.
