Neil & Kat’s Urban Wedding
CASTLEFIELD ROOMS, MANCHESTER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I was over the moon when Kat & Neil asked me to photograph their wedding at Castlefield Rooms. It’s such an amazing venue, right beside the canals of Manchester, with the cobbled streets and urban architecture it makes for an amazing backdrop for any urban city centre wedding.
The day started at Mirror Mirror hair salon in Urmston, where Kat and some of the bridesmaids had their hair done before heading over to Kat’s parent’s home for the wedding preparations to continue. The house was full, not only with all 8 of the bridesmaids getting ready but also full of fun, laughter and lots of champagne
The car’s arrived to collect the bridal party and we all headed into Manchester to meet at Castlefield Rooms for the wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was lovely and the highlight for me was Neil’s face when he realised he didn’t have the rings on him, luckily they were not far away and was able to locate them in time for Kat and Neil’s little boy to hand them over.
After the service, as it was such a lovely day everyone was able to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the canapés and drinks and soak up the amazing weather we are having.
Once all the guests were called into the room for speeches, I took Kat & Neil away for a couple of sneaky portrait images of them both and also gave them the opportunity to have a little time out and talk to one another.
Speeches, as some of you may know speeches are one of my favourite parts of the day, I love capturing all the laughter and there was certainly plenty of that during the best man’s speech.
Now normally it’s the first dance that’s the tear jerker but not this time, Kat and her dad stole the show during their dance. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.
Neil & Kat, what an amazing wedding day you had and it’s not surprising as you guys are such an amazing couple with a beautiful family and friends. Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I know you all enjoyed the day and I hope you agree that the pictures clearly showed that too.
