BRIDGEWATER CRUISES WEDDING ON A BARGE
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY, WORSLEY
I met Jenny at a mother day’s afternoon tea event which I photographed for my good friend Tina who runs An Afternoon with T. A few weeks later Jenny contacted me about her wedding as she and Keith said they loved the photograph I took of her during the mothers day event as she said it was so natural. When she said it was a barge wedding from Boothstown to Worsley, I absolutely jumped at the chance and couldn’t wait to photograph there wedding day.
Jenny and Keith wanted me to photograph the most important aspects of the day for them, which was the ceremony and then just the two of them afterwards. I arrived at Bridgewater Cruises to capture all the guests arriving and enjoying drinks before the reception. The barge itself was so cute an I loved how it had been dressed with a large white ribbon and lovely table settings. It’s such an amazing and alternative way to get married and I ow can’t wait to photograph some more barge weddings.
I was blown away when Jenny arrived, as she looked absolutely stunning in the most amazing dress and flowers. The service was fantastic and took place as we cruised down from Bridgewater Cruises to Worsley, during which Jenny’s two sons who are currently in the army were also able to watch via the wonders of the internet. We finally docked at Worsley Bridge for a couple of group shots on the steps then took 10 minutes for some natural bride and grooms portrait images.
I then waved them off down the canal as they took off for the meal and evening party.
Jenny and Keith thank you so much for allowing me to photograph such an amazing wedding ceremony. I wish you all the happiness in the future together.
Here are my highlights from the day.
